I Wore It-Black to a Wedding

I guess I'm the only one who didn't know that it was okay to wear black to an evening wedding. I posted & you all answered with an overwhelming, "Wear It!"

so here it is...

i loved the top part of the dress...

To my surprise, TONS of people were wearing black!

It was a gorgeous outside wedding at the Dana Point Marriott on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The bride was absolutely breathtaking!

see the sun setting behind the bride & groom?

It was such a fun wedding-they even had a picture booth with dress up stuff! They put one set of pics in a photo album for the wedding couple & the guests kept the other ones.

Such a fun idea to capture your guests enjoying themselves...

it clicked so fast it took a few tries to get it right!

I won the center piece...

just the flowers, but aren't they amazing?

Thanks again for your advice...my vintage dress was a hit!

Fashion Police-I need HELP

Here's the thing...

I need your advice.

I'm going to an evening wedding this Saturday & have a vintage 50's style dress that I bought a while ago at one of my fav vintage stores for $10.00 & I absolutely LOVE it. It is so flattering, but I haven't had a chance to wear it yet.

The problem? It's black. I don't know if it's an old fashion faux pas or if it still applies to the weddings of today.

Should I wear it? Is it okay?

doesn't it just scream Marilyn Monroe or Jayne Mansfield?

...and the unexpected fuschia tulle

Please leave me your honest opinion!
