My Son Was Attacked!

My son, who is modeling in New York, was out at a club this weekend, and was attacked as he tried to help his girlfriend. When he fell to the ground, another guy kicked him in the face. He lost a tooth in the front (they wired his top teeth, trying to save another tooth), his lip was split in half & the other side of his face is cut & swollen. He said it was weird how it all happened & felt like it was some kind of set up. They only went after his face.

He was in the hospital for 7 hrs. They took his phone so I didn't find out about any of it until 3:00 p.m. the next day! (6:00 pm NY time.)

I can't believe that I wasn't called, notified or anything! His face is a total mess, not to mention the missing tooth! He isn't able to eat anything solid, for fear of causing another loose tooth to fall out. I was just sick...being so far away & not able to take care of him right now. I'm trying to get him home next week (his mouth will be wired for about 6 wks) and the issue of trying to get a tooth put in, obviously no work with missing teeth.

Don't get me wrong, I'm soooo grateful that it wasn't worse, being kicked in the head could've caused severe head trauma, but it's just so hard to see him suffering like this.

I'm shocked and horrified by the violence against your son. Unless such acts are heavily punished, they will recur and make people's life a living Hell.

As for your son, with God's help, he'll overcome this nightmare and soon get back to his normal life.
I wish him a fast and smooth recovery!

Oh my God. I am terrified and felt pity for your son, Lisa... His job needs his face and too bad for now, he have to wait for recovery until he can continue his job again. I bet he must be in despair. Be there for him.. And you too, don't stress out for what have happened. Hope that you and your family see positive things through this. My heart and prayer goes to Julien for a fast recovery.
to you and your family, Be strong for this is God's way to show how strong your family can handle hard times together.

Have a nice day, Lisa. :)

Lisa, I am so sorry to read the news of this attack on your son. How cruel some people can be is beyond me. Your son sounds like an honorable young man as he tried to defend his girlfriend. I can only imagine what you're feeling before so far away. I will be praying for your son ...for his healing not only physically but also emotionally and spiritually. You have a beautiful attitude in that you are so grateful as it could have been worse. May God grant you grace and peace as you bring your son home to heal.

Sending you a hug today,
Debbie

Thank you all for your comments & prayers! We are working on getting my son better and hopefully getting him home soon to get "fixed up." He is doing better-other than his frustration, anger, and pain. Luckily his fever's gone down so I think we are ok on the infection end of it!

Thanks again so much!

I am so sorry to hear that and all so uncalled for. Violence seems to be the thing of the day. I do hope he gets his face like new. My prayers are with you and him.
